Since inventing the washing process to artificially age denim, François Girbaud has been recognized as one of the leading jeans designers worldwide. He has been at the forefront of innovation in his experimentation and development of materials, treatments and techniques. The focus of his research over the last 25 years has been centered on developing ecologically and ethically conscious methods to advance the cause of sustainability within the textile industry. This denim visionary has become “LE PATRON” of the International Talent Contest for Fashion & Design as well as keynote speaker at the FRANKfurtsyleaward Gala 2016.

A Once-in-a-lifetime Fashion Trip to China was waiting for the winner of the category ECOlogical Green, Anne Lonnes. Together with Aping Li-Herold, president of the Verein der Überseechinesen, she traveled to China in November 2015.

Outstanding Talent 2015, Anastasia Liebe from Rüsselsheim, enjoyed her prize “Once-in-a-Lifetime Italy” and went on an exciting road trip through the Italian fashion metropolises. She started with a sponsored flight by Miles & More to Milan where she and the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD Team presented a Defilé of 40 selected designs from the PIONEERING DESTINY Collection 2015.

This year, the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD was bestowed a special honor: the International Fashion Contest for upcoming talents showed a Defilé of roughly 40 creations from this year’s Finale on October 7 in Milan. At the invitation of Hessian State Minister Tarek Al-Wazir, the show took place during an evening reception for the EXPO Delegation Trip. The focal point of the committee is the creative economy in Europe. In front of 120 guests from Germany and Italy, including Italian Consul General in Frankfurt Maurizio Canfora, our upcoming models presented the Defile.

Anastasia Liebe is this year’s FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD Outstanding Talent 2015. Her design “Prisma”, with 8,000 rhinestones and 12 meters of painted white silk, captivated the audience and the jury.
