Women of the World Newcomer Act Casting has started

For the third time the Women of the World Festival and the Frankfurt STYLE AWARD are looking for female Newcomer Musicians.

Until Tuesday, March 31, 2015, female musicians of all styles are invited to apply for the Women of the World Newcomer Contest. The winner recieves the chance to perform as support act at the Women of the World Festival and at the Frankfurt STYLE AWARD Gala.

Outstanding Talent 2014 Melissa Schulz on tour through Paris

Melissa Schulz, winner of the UNITED DIVERSITY AWARD for Outstanding Talent 2014 may look forward to an unforgettable fashion tour through Paris.

The 21-year old fashion design student at FAHMODA, Akademie für Fashion and Design Hannover, impressed our jury with her design ‘Parasite Technology’- an exceptional interpretation of the Frankfurt STYLE AWARD’s guiding theme 2014 “UNITED DIVERSITY” in the category “UNICULT”.

Not only will she get to attend the ApparelSourcing Paris now:

In the two days following, she will visit french fashion houses together with Dominique Deroche -the right hand of Yves Saint Laurent for 40 years and currently represantative of the Fondation Pierre Berge Yves Saint Laurent.

PIONEERING DESTINY: Internationale Ausschreibung gestartet

Design talents from all over the world are called upon to let their creativity reign free for the 8th Frankfurt STYLE AWARD. The motto 2015, PIONEERING DESTINY, calls for young talents to show innovation and a pioneering spirit by transcending limitations and creating new from old.

Upcoming designers can submit applications with exceptional sketches and concepts ideas within the categories “Blue Revolution,” “ECOlogical Green” and “Over the Rainbow.” The application deadline is February 16th, 2015.

Impressionen FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD Gala 2014

With 450 guests and almost 100 young talents (designers, models and make-up artists), the FRAPORT FORUM was completely booked at the 26th of September.

The program for the evening started with a runway show of 58 creations and ended with the Award Ceremony, all led by Anke Seeling, a familiar face in the Frankfurt Airport and formerly on international catwalks.

A very special prize was awarded to the winner of the UNITED DIVERSITY AWARD for Outstanding Talent 2014, Melissa Schulz.

The winner from FAHMODA – Akademie für Mode und Design Hannover received an unforgettable fashion-trip to famous French fashion houses and a visit to the French talent contest Festival International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode de Dinard. In addition, her winning outfit Parasite Technology will be exhibited in the luxurious Palais des Artes.

The prize was awarded by the guest of honor from France: Dominique Deroche, who served as right hand to Yves Saint Laurent for over 40 years and currently acts as representative of the Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent.

Our winner is going to Paris with Air France where she will stay the night in the exclusive Boutique W Design Hotel Opera from Starwood hotels. Alongside Dominique Deroche, our OUTSTANDING TALENT will tour the most important Haute Couture houses of Paris and has won a dinnerfor2 in the famous Restaurant Prunier Paris. Afterwards, she will go to the Talent Contest Festival International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode de Dinard, where her winning outfit „Parasite Technology” from Frankfurt will be showcased in the Palais des Artes.

From the Runway to the Showroom: Die “UNITED DIVERSITY COLLECTION”

Travelers in the Frankfurt Airport can awe at the design creations from all over the world in the UNITED DIVERSITY COLLECTION exhibit.

The designs will be displayed from October 2014 till Mid Feburary 2015 in the Special Showroom in Terminal 1, Arrivals Hall A., Frankfurt Airport (Fraport) Die UNITED DIVERSITY COLLECTION

Afterwards the creations from the Finale 2014 will make their way to Paris for ApparelSourcingParis. During the international textile trade show, a selection from the UNITED DIVERSITY COLLECTION will be displayed in front of an audience of trade specialists, exhibitors and purchasers as part of the fashion shows.

With a generous bid of 1,100 EUR, Joachim Bürger, the founder of ZiC n’ ZaC and a huge supporter of the Frankfurt STYLE AWARD, won the Love-Edition 2014 caviar.

In occasion of the ZiC n’ ZaC vernissage of the 4th Art en Passant in Essen, Joachim Bürger, the Mr. Starbucks of the “sewing cafes”, shared the caviar as an appetizer at the “Urban-Lifestyle-Imbiss” with fashion students from AMD Akademie Mode & Design Düsseldorf.
