FRANKfurtstyleaward 2016: The finalists have been confirmed!

A smashing success: the third International Call for Entry for the FRANKfurtstyleaward resulted in 60 Finalists from 11 countries and 25 fashion schools from all over the world who are eager to win the prestigious international Talent Contest for Fashion Design. In fact, they have won already. From initially 270 submissions, the 60 Finalists are invited to produce their designs for the presentation at the FRANKfurtstyleaward GALA to a high-profile audience of international fashion designers, trend scouts and VIP’s at the Alte Oper Frankfurt on September 23rd, 2016.

This year’s contest motto is „World of Contradictions“. It challenges the young designers to think about contradictions and interpret them in a new way. The results are 60 unique concepts and sketches reflecting the fashionable and cultural influences of the various countries of origin. The concept titles already evoke exciting new creations rich in ideas: “The strength of weakness“, „Caged Beauty“, „Striped Revolution“ and many more.

The third international Call for Entry 2016 of the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD was successfull. 270 design ideas in the three different categories take their chance to compete for the highly demanded international award. Until the beginning of April, an independent jury chaired by Salvatore Di Bella will identify those candidates who are shortlisted for the festive Gala Finale Show on September 23, 2016.

For this year’s participants of the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD the dream of studying in the fashion metropolis Milan could come true! The renowned fashion school Haute Future Fashion Academy (HFFA) Milan is a partner of  the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD 2016 and will award advanced courses and also master’s courses to the winners. HFFA is a big player when it comes to youth development and will support the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD in search of fashion design talents for the first time.

FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD at the Berlin Fashion Week

The FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD was invited to the Greenshowroom during the Berlin Fashion Week. Three designs of the Pioneering Destiny Collection 2015 were selected for their creative achievement in eco-conscious fashion design by the Greenshowroom and were exhibited at the green fashion fair. At FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD’s own stand, the upcoming designers presented themselves and their designs, networked with other visitors and designers and even met VIPs. The opening of the fair was hosted by Olaf Schmidt, Vice President for Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt GmbH and actress Ursula Karven, testimonial for an eco-fashion label. PIONEERING DESTINY Collection goes Berlin

The successful cooperation between the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD and Texpertise Network by Messe Frankfurt will be further continued and strengthened in 2016. As a result of this collaboration, three talents of the finale 2015 have been offered a special highlight: Their creations of the PIONEERING DESTINY Collection 2015 from the category “ECOlogical Green” were selected by the Greenshowroom Berlin and they are invited to present themselves and their design at the eco-conscious fashion trade fair from January 19th – 21th.
