The FRANKfurtstyleaward TOP60 COLLECTION 2016 had its final fashion show in front of an international audience in Paris. At the invitation of Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France S.A.S., the FRANKfurtstyleaward presented 30 designs at the renowned textile fair Apparel Sourcing Paris on February 8, 2017. “We are very pleased to support young designers and give them a platform within an international fashion show,” said Michael Scherpe.
Barely back from the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, the FRANKfurtstyleaward COLLECTION 2016 traveled to the fashion metropolis of France. There, 30 designs were presented to exhibitors and trade visitors in a fashion show staged by Art Director Eymeric François. Founder and organizer Hannemie Stitz-Krämer was very pleased about the renewed invitation to the Apparel Sourcing Paris and the opportunity to complete the FRANKfurtstyleaward 2016 with a great finissage in Paris. Besides Hannemie Stitz-Krämer, designer and last-year patron François Girbaud, honorary jury member Dominique Deroche and Zhang Lin, representative of the Chinese brand ambassador and jury member Duncan Liu followed the invitation of Messe Frankfurt France S.A.S.
The highlight of the finissage once again was OUTSTANDING TALENT 2016, Alexander Tverdovski. The 21-year-old talent from Fahmoda – Akademie für Mode und Design Hannover inspired the audience and the jury with his extraordinary design “Mikro-Kosmos” and won the coveted trophy FRANK® – The Trophy as well as the “Once-in-a-Lifetime” Fashion Trip to Paris at the AWARD GALA on September 23, 2016.
Therefore, Alexander Tverdovski spent five exciting days in the French fashion metropolis and was able to visit not only the famous sights, but also the Paris College of Art, where Donald Potard, chairman of the fashion department, guided him through the university. Thanks to Dominique Deroche, representative of the Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander also received exclusive insights into the sacred halls of Yves Saint Laurent. Special thanks also go to Air France KLM, who made the “Once-in-a-Lifetime” Fashion Trip to Paris possible.
