This is the end of an extremely challenging and exceptional year for all of us around the globe. We hope that you, your family and friends managed the corona pandemic so far, and that you have plans for a peaceful and happy holiday season.
It is also the time for a review, a status report and a preview of the FRANKfurtstyleaward. Last year in December, we launched the call for entry under the Motto BENEFITS of CHANGE, not expecting that a virus would conquer the whole world. Anyhow, we were able to face all challenges and are still very proud to presenting the TOP10 winners of the International Competition for young Fashion & Design Talents as a live stream event in June 2020.

13th Edition of FRANKfurtstyleaward in 2021
Although everything is prepared for the 13th Edition of FRANKfurtstyleaward in 2021, we keep the call for entry with all necessary information on hold until further notice. Please keep your fingers crossed that we are able to continue at the beginning of next year.
FRANKfurtstyleaward 2020 at Kunstverein Familie Montez in Frankfurt
In the meantime, we have at least some good news: Instead of the cancelled international roadshow 2020/2021 to the fashion weeks in Vancouver, Addis Ababa, and Kiev, the FRANKfurtstyleaward 2020 BENFITS of CHANGE goes into extension and stays in Frankfurt as a harbinger of Frankfurt Fashion Week in July 2021.
Thanks to the invitation of Mirek Macke, initiator, director and curator of the Kunstverein Familie Montez (KVFM), the International Talent Contest for Fashion & Design is honored with the exhibition of this year’s TOP10 Winners Collection. This will be the start of a series of installations from the “Best of…” of past awards which meet the criteria uniqueness, sustainability, innovation, craftsmanship and art.
Art in fashion is avant-garde
Since 2008, the AWARD attracted hundreds of young designers, students and young professionals. To reach the TOP 10 Collections became more and more challenging. The inspirations, visions, artistic sketches and masterful craftsmanship became “alive” in 2-minutes video presentation of the international FRANKfurtstyleaward winners and from December 2020 through July 2021 perfectly match with the highly acclaimed art performance projects of the Kunstverein.
During the second tightened Corona lockdown and the closure of cultural institutions until end of January, the striking window front of the “Gallery under the Honsell Bridge” and in neighborhood of the European Central Bank allows interested people a glance at the impressive art work in the making by resident Frankfurt artists (performing art), now framed by the TOP10 selection of international AWARD winners.
The installation “Art in Fashion” at Kunstverein Familie Montez in view of the Frankfurt Fashion Week 2021 is a great ovation and a sign of appreciation to past and future participants, winners and finalists of the worldwide fashion & design competition.
