The successful partnership between Fraport AG and FRANKfurtstyleaward now reaches a digital dimension. The new Digital Showroom on Frankfurt Airport’s online shopping portal shows the latest nominations of the TOP60 finalists of the FRANKfurtstyleaward 2016. According to Fraport AG there are more than 100.000 visits per day. These are the best 60 designs out of 270 applications from young talents around the world. Visitors of the Digital Showroom can lean back and track the award or even act as judges, nominating their favorite design for the public choice award. The FRANKfurtstyleaward Wild Card Voting has exceeded all expectations. An impressive 20,000 Facebook users voted for their favorite designs. 3,000 people shared the design gallery on Facebook, reaching 200,000 users worldwide. Thus it is not surprising that with Nina Kramer from the AMD Hamburg, Shauna Reilley from Griffith College Dublin and Roni Peretz from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel the internationality of the Award is also reflected in the winners of the voting. A smashing success: the third International Call for Entry for the FRANKfurtstyleaward resulted in 60 Finalists from 11 countries and 25 fashion schools from all over the world who are eager to win the prestigious international Talent Contest for Fashion Design. In fact, they have won already. From initially 270 submissions, the 60 Finalists are invited to produce their designs for the presentation at the FRANKfurtstyleaward GALA to a high-profile audience of international fashion designers, trend scouts and VIP’s at the Alte Oper Frankfurt on September 23rd, 2016. This year’s contest motto is „World of Contradictions“. It challenges the young designers to think about contradictions and interpret them in a new way. The results are 60 unique concepts and sketches reflecting the fashionable and cultural influences of the various countries of origin. The third international Call for Entry for the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD at more than 500 fashion schools worldwide has started. The new motto “World of Contradictions” with its categories “Kim K. vs. Frida K.”, “Bronx vs. Boulevard” and “Occident vs. Orient” is so far the most challenging one for the upcoming designers. The FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD has established itself as one of the most important International Talent Contests for Fashion & Design. The contest stands for a sustainable talent and career platform that promotes innovative ideas and outstanding creative achievement. The application deadline is February 29th, 2016.
