All in all, 12 awards were awarded during the festive Gala at Frankfurt Airport on September 5. The first place winners in the categories “Blue Revolution”, “ECOlogical Green” and “Over the Rainbow” come from Israel, Germany and Spain.

Simo Marom from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Israel won first place in the category Blue Revolution with his bold denim outfit (Denim Couture). Simo personally could not make it to Frankfurt: all the more reason he was excited to win a “one-of-a-kind” luxurious expedition to Frankfurt. Starting at the classySchlosshotel Kronberg in Taunus – the picturesque estate of Empress Friedrich, the mother to Wilhelm II, Simo Marom will visit the fashion hot spots of the Metropolitan Region RheinMain. Hannemie Stitz-Krämer of the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD is very pleased to be able to meet the young designer and show him around personally.

Anna Lonnes, Fashion Design Institute, Düsseldorf:
1. Place Ecological Green – Anna Lonnes and her Design “Reincarnation” (c) Simon Zimbardo
Our winner in the category Ecological Green, Anna Lonnes from Düsseldorf attends the Fashion Design Institute. Her design “Reincarnation” is as fantastical as it is shrill – for fashionistas a colorful wardrobe alternative for the next GALA. With 3,000 plastic spoons, her outfit is guaranteed to be an attention-grabber. The designer was awarded an “once-in-a-lifetime” fashion trip to China, including Frankfurt’s partner city, Guan Zhou and ShenZen, where she will visit the studio of Opera Fashion in addition to other top Chinese designers in the area.

Evelina Martirosyan, FDModa LCI Barcelona:
Winner Over the Rainbow – Evelina Martirosyan and her Design “Skaza”.
The first place in the category “Over the Rainbow” was given to a very international design from Evelina Martirosyan of FDModa LCI in Barcelona. Her design “Szazka” is something out of a Russian fairytale. The exotic facial features of the model wearing her garment combined with its opulent headdress makes her look like a charming folkloric doll. The prize for her original idea is a “once-in-a-lifetime” fashion trip to north Senegal, the city of Saint-Louis, known as Africa’s Venice by some. On a 8-day cruise, she will travel to natural reservations, cities and villages along Senegal’s river.

Each winner enjoyed monetary prizes up to 1,500 Euros. Second and third place winners received 1,000 Euros and varying “destination” trips. Third place winners received 500 Euros in addition to valuable gifts. Thanks to generous support of our sponsors – Dubai Tourism, Starwood Hotels & Ressorts, De’Longhi and Mattioli Jewelry – second and third place winners could also look forward to valuable in-kind prizes.
Special Prize Winners
In the FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD online voting, the audience selected the design “Chanteuse“ from Florentina Vllasaliu (Design Factory – KS Kosovo) as the winner of the Public Choice Award. She will receive a Brother Sewing Machine to help her with her future creations and develop her skills further.

The s. Oliver Special Prize, a 6 month internship in Rottendorf, went to Anna Dziwik from the Mediadesign Hochschule Düsseldorf for her Design „Black Metamorphism“.
