“Once-in-a-lifetime” trip: A Finn in Frankfurt

An extraordinary prize was waiting for Raili Auraskari, winner of the category “Bronx vs. Boulevard,” who enthralled the jury of the FRANKfurtstyleaward with her design “Brod’n’Rude.” Raili won a four-day trip to the metropolis Frankfurt and received a unique insight distinguished from the usual frenetic business everyday life.

Thanks to Air France KLM Raili’s “Once-in-a-lifetime” Fashion Trip to Frankfurt began with a comfortable flight from Helsinki to Frankfurt and an exclusive limousine service by Interline Limousine Network. In a Bentley, she was picked up at the airport and driven to her residence for the next four days, the impressive Schlosshotel Kronberg, by her own chauffeur.

Raili kicked off her fashion trip with a private guided city tour through Kronberg. In the following, she attended the Thank you-Lunch, which was celebrated in her honor and at the invitation of hotel director Franz Zimmermann and FRANKfurtstyleaward founder and initiator Hannemie Stitz-Krämer, in the Schlosshotel Kronberg.

Afterwards, the talented designer experienced an exclusive tour through the Städel Musuem Frankfurt by guide and art historian Pascal Heß. The spectacular first day was rounded off by a luxurious 4-course fashion dinner with couturier and juror Albrecht Ollendiek. Until late at night, the two of them philosophized about the design handcraft, the influence of social media channels in fashion and their current collections.

Raili’s second day in Frankfurt started off with a visit to luxurious Juwelier Friedrich in the famous Goethestraße. Thereby, manager Marc Stabernack introduced Raili to the history of gemology and exposed her to some treasures of the jewelry, which she was allowed to shortly wear herself.

Thanks to the Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main, Raili, afterwards, enjoyed a sightseeing “Hop-on Hop-off” bus tour through the Main metropolis.

Following Albrecht Ollendiek’s prior invitation, Raili visited the Haute Couture Designer in his own showroom. There, he showed Raili his latest collection and gave her some advice for her first official contract, an evening gown, that she currently customizes for a Finnish politician.

Raili spent the last day of her “Once-in-a-lifetime” fashion trip in the Rhein-Main-region, where city tours through Mainz and Wiesbaden as well as the visit of the Mainzer Dom and the traditional casino Wiesbaden brought her closer to Frankfurt’s historic neighboring cities. The trip’s closure was a visit to Weingut Robert Weil in Kiedrich, where Raili had the great opportunity to see behind the curtain of wine and received a great insight in the production process. She learned many details about the long history of the winery and experienced the winery’s flavorful variety during a wine tasting in the well-filled wine cellars.

Amazed by her great experiences, Raili said: “I want to thank all the sponsors, the FRANKfurtstyleaward crew and everyone I met on this trip. Everyone was professional and made me feel so welcomed in your country. I have so much love and respect for everyone and what they do. I will cherish these moments forever!”

Special thanks go to our partners and sponsors, who enabled Raili’s “Once-in-a-lifetime” fashion trip:
