Show premiere at the Frankfurt Book Fair

At the invitation of THE ARTS+, the first fair on the business of creativity and culture worldwide, the FRANKfurtstyleaward celebrated its fashion show premiere at the Frankfurt Book Fair on Sunday, October 24, with a defile of the COLLECTION 2016. Following the outstanding presentation at CHIC and the well-attended exhibition at the Intertextile fair in Shanghai, the FRANKfurtstyleaward COLLECTION 2016 went to its second roadshow stop at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The cooperation between the FRANKfurtstyleaward and THE ARTS+ enabled a great and successful evening as the fashion show of the International Talent Contest for Fashion & Design fascinated a huge audience. Most visitors of the Frankfurt Book Fair admired the extravagant and colorful designs as well as their extraordinary headgear and material and were exceedingly astonished about the upcoming designers’ creativity. With its impressive fashion show, the FRANKfurtstyleaward demonstrated the close connection of fashion and design with art and culture.

Thanks to the energetic support of Günter Loibl and the Haarkunst Team as well as the Famous Face Academy, Marco Marcu, Main-Topmodel and East West Models, The FRANKfurtstyleaward celebrated a great performance and successful fashion show at the fair’s well-visited last day. Orientating their work on the designs, the make-up artist of the Famous Face Academy conjured a perfect picture. The Haarkunst Team including Günter Loibl additionally amplified the looks through creative and elaborated hairstyles and, thereby, drew great attention to the defile of the FRANKfurtstyleaward COLLECTION 2016. Special thanks go to the models of Main-Topmodel and East West Models, who fashionably presented the designs on the runway and Marco Marcu, who organized the schedule of the fashion show and instructed the models prior to their walk on the runway. The successful fashion show at the Frankfurt Book Fair was enabled by our long-time sponsor and pioneer Texpertise Network by Messe Frankfurt.

Apart from Hannemie Stitz-Krämer, founder and initiator of the FRANKfurtstyleaward, Alexander Tverdovski, who impressed jury and guests of the Award Gala on September 23 with his extraordinary design “Mikro-Kosmos” and was, therefore, honored as the “Outstanding Talent”, and Mona Homm, who won the category “Occident vs. Orient” with her design “Metanoia – Changing One’s Mind,” were also present at the FRANKfurtstyleaward fashion show at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The two students of Fahmoda – Akademie für Mode und Design Hannover had the great possibility to present their designs in front of the fair’s international audience and were, thereby, admired and celebrated as outstanding artists and designers.

Many visitors highly valued and admired the fashion show of the FRANKfurtstyleaward as one major highlight of the Frankfurt Book Fair. The dress “Striped Revolution” from Leoni Dittert, who studies at the Frankfurter Schule für Bekleidung und Mode, was one of the most impressive moments because it illuminated the runway through several purple-colored LED lights and, therefore, distinguished itself as a symbol for the interaction between fashion and technology.  After the successful premiere at the Award Gala and the glamorous first roadshow stop at the CHIC and Intertextile fair in Shanghai, the fashion show at the Frankfurt Book Fair was a great second roadshow stop. Delighted due to the huge reception at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Hannemie Stitz-Krämer says: “We are very happy that our Collection of unique designs is being presented to an international audience on the runway of THE ARTS+” and emphasizes that the upcoming Designers of the FRANKfurtstyleaward predominantly draw upon culture, history, and literature for their creativity and, moreover, declares that the FRANKfurtstyleaward will continue to encourage the relationship between fashion and arts.
